https://frankel.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=3315 Rep. Frankel Announces Start of Annual Congressional App Challenge 2021-08-19 2021 2021-08 Democrat House FL Lois Frankel F000462 frankel.house.gov frankel https://frankel.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx?DocumentTypeID=27 scraper Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) announced the start of the annual Congressional App Challenge for students from Palm Beach County and around the country. The yearly program encourages middle and high school students to learn to code and inspires them to pursue careers in computer science. “Getting students invested in STEM at a young age sets them on the path to varied and exciting jobs one day,” said Rep. Frankel. “I’m always impressed by the talent displayed by all the students who participate in this exercise, and I look forward to seeing this year’s submissions.” Every year, Members of Congress invite students who live in their districts to create and submit original apps for a chance to win the Congressional App Challenge. Last year’s local winner created an app that connects users in need of emotional support to uplifting conversations over text message. Representatives publicly recognize their winning teams, and each winning app may be put on display in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. Applications are due November 1st, students can apply here. ### 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T20:11:17Z
