https://frankel.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=4918 Rep. Frankel Marks Two Years Since October 7 Hamas Terrorist Attacks 2025-10-07 2025 2025-10 Democrat House FL Lois Frankel F000462 frankel.house.gov frankel https://frankel.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx?DocumentTypeID=27 scraper “Today, we mark a solemn and heartbreaking anniversary—two years since Hamas terrorists carried out the deadliest assault on the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” said Rep. Frankel. “On October 7, 2023, the world watched in horror as Hamas murdered, raped, and maimed more than 1,200 innocent people, injured thousands more, and abducted 251 hostages. Today, 48 hostages remain in Hamas’s dark tunnels, and only half are believed to be alive. On this day of remembrance, we must continue pressing for the release of every hostage, for lifesaving aid to reach civilians in Gaza, and for this devastating war to finally end.” To commemorate two years since the October 7 attacks, Reps. Lois Frankel (D-FL-22) and Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ-5) introduced a resolution condemning Hamas’s October 7, 2023, terrorist assault on Israel. The resolution denounces Hamas’s horrific acts on and since that day, reaffirms the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security, and pledges to help secure the release of the forty-eight remaining hostages, address urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza, and pursue lasting peace in the region.
