My office will continue to work to reduce red tape at USDA and ensure our growers and ranchers receive the resources they need while recovering.” The USDA announced the covered measures would include expedited assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP), Emergency Forest Restoration Program (EFRP), and Tree Assistance Program (TAP). The noted flexibilities include reduced documentation requirements and clearer environmental compliance reviews. To review a detailed list of the announced flexibilities click here. This announcement comes on the heels of Congressman Franklin’s October letter to the USDA, in which he strongly urged the agency to “approve an expedited review of applications and deployment of existing authority for FSA offices to waive requirements that are redundant or unnecessary.” Senators Rubio and Scott and the entire Florida Congressional Delegation joined Congressman Franklin. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-07T22:13:55Z
