This legislation goes far beyond contraception, utilizing a definition of “contraceptive” so broad that it includes a right to chemical abortion drugs that can be used weeks or months into a pregnancy. Furthermore, the legislation completely disregards the freedom of conscience of health care providers, explicitly exempting itself from protections afforded to providers by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
