I am confident they possess the necessary qualities needed to successfully graduate from a service academy, and equally confident in their abilities to meet the rigorous challenges as future officers in our armed forces.” A service academy nomination from Congressman Gianforte meets an admittance requirement for Montanans seeking officer training in one of one of the nation’s four military academies: the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, CO, the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY. Students applying through Gianforte’s congressional office for an academy nomination completed an extensive application process that examined their academic, civic and physical abilities, as well as their commitment to military service.
