Kyler and Andrew developed an impressive app that showcases Montana entrepreneurship at its best, Gianforte said. Gianforte thanked the budding programmers who competed. I'm impressed with the creativity and talent of Montana's young programmers. I thank all the students who entered the competition as well as their teachers and mentors for their guidance, Gianforte said. The Congressional App Challenge is an annual contest to engage student creativity and encourage their participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education fields. This nationwide event allows high school students from across the country to compete against their peers by creating and exhibiting their software application, or "app," for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.
