Last night, I connected with thousands of Montanans and listened to their ideas, concerns, and opinions on issues important to them, Gianforte said. What I hear from Montanans, whether sitting down with them on my tour of Montana's 56 counties or during statewide town halls, guides me as I serve Montana. Gianforte's statewide town hall reached nearly 100,000 Montanans. Gianforte took questions from constituents throughout the state, including Corvallis, Eureka, Grass Range, Olney, Raynesford, St. Marie, Stevensville, Twodot, and Vaughn, as well as several larger towns and cities. Many of the questions Montanans posed to Gianforte related to veterans' issues, natural resources, health care, trade, agriculture, Second Amendment rights, the national debt, and House Democrats' efforts to impeach President Trump. In addition to last night's town hall, Gianforte has held statewide town halls in January, February, April, May, and September as well as town halls for seniors throughout the state in April and July. During last night's town hall, Gianforte posed five questions to Montanans to gauge their opinions on various topics. The survey questions and results follow: 1. What do you believe is the most important issue facing America today? 35% - Border security 25% - Out-of-control spending and debt 12% - Rising health care costs 12% - National security and the military 9% - The environment and climate change 7% - The economy and good-paying jobs 2.
