Gimenez (FL-26) issued the following statement after today’s emergency temporary standard issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA): President Biden, who has a habit of following political science instead of real science, continues to insist that federal employees, including our brave servicemembers who put their lives on the line every day in service to our country, must be vaccinated or else they face termination. Even the Biden Administration’s own OSHA guidelines say there is no need for full vaccine mandates in the workplace, allowing unvaccinated workers to continue their line of work with proper testing and mask requirements. It is time for President Biden and the bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. to admit that their push for vaccine mandates is not rooted in science. The President has publicly stated his desire for servicemembers, police offices, firefighters, and doctors who choose to not vaccinate to callously have their livelihoods ripped out from under them.
