They include two sets of upgrades for water and wastewater systems in Gardiner and Livermore Falls, and new funding to enhance rural telehealth accessibility through MaineHealth. "I'm glad to see that USDA is prioritizing key infrastructure and healthcare investments in Maine," said Congressman Golden. "This announcement of more than $6.5 million in new grants and loans will ensure that more Mainers will have access to telemedicine services and improved water infrastructure. Investments like these are critical to the long-term health and safety of our communities, and I'm proud to announce them." The USDA's loans and grants include: $3,532,000 to the City of Gardiner, to improve the Maine Ave Pump Station and Wastewater Treatment Facility; $2,200,000 to the Livermore Falls Water District, to support work on water infrastructure; $999,573 to MaineHealth, to support rural telehealth resources.
