Graves released the following statement: I am thrilled that the Trump Administration has listened to the people and kept their promise to get rid of WOTUS, said Graves. You can have a thriving rural economy and clean water. This rule accomplishes that. This reworked rule will provide the certainty and flexibility rural Americans need to properly manage their land and benefit both the economy and the environment. I commend President Trump and his administration for following through on his commitment to protecting our rural way of life. One of President Trump's earliest acts in office was an executive order directing EPA and the Army Corps to review and replace the Obama EPA's definition of the waters of the United States. The proposal would make it easier to understand where the Clean Water Act applies, and more importantly where it does not. The proposal would help business owners spend less money and time making decisions about whether their waters are Waters of the United States, and more time running their businesses and strengthening the nation's economy.	1	2026-03-30T12:14:52Z	2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
