Sam Graves (R-MO6.), released the following statement after receiving notice from the US Postal Service that Missouri residents with Iowa addresses in Clark, Scotland, Schuyler and Putnam counties had finally been given Missouri addresses. "I'm glad to see these much-needed address changes have finally happened," said Graves. "I have been working with County Commissioners, residents, and the US Postal Service for quite some time to get this issue resolved. This change will relieve residents of many inconveniences they faced while trying to obtain basic services such as voting and paying taxes." Graves was notified by the U.S. Postal Service in late June that, as a result of several counties switching to 911 addresses, they would be working with local 911 Coordinators to rectify the issue and provide the misaddressed residents with Missouri zip codes. In late October, USPS informed Graves that the changes to the Missouri addresses had begun and would be completed by November 25.
