You can read more about the project here. “This project has been a long time coming,” said Graves. “I want to thank Mayor Pogue, many members of the Kearney community, landowners along the intersection, our MoDOT Commissioners, and MODOT Director McKenna for all their tireless work and cooperation on this project. It’s something I’ve been working on for more than a decade and it’s great to see this project finally moving forward.” Image Image Congressman Graves worked with the late Chairman Don Young to secure $1.2 million to commission a study to improve the intersection in the 2005 highway bill—the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). SAFETEA-LU also included $4.8 million for the expansion of Highway 92 from I-35 to Nations Road in Kearney. Image 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T02:19:30Z
