The judge ordered the State of Arizona to extend the voter registration deadline to October 23. In response Rep. Ral M. Grijalva issued the following statement: We should undertake every effort to ensure as many eligible voters as possible can register to vote and exercise their constitutional right. The COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying restrictions made it increasingly difficult for some communities, particularly communities of color, rural communities, and Native communities, to take this critical first step to participate in next month's elections.
