A mother of three children and a proud product of public school herself, she has been a consistent advocate for educational equity and resources, leading the launch of Pima County’s first free pre-school program as a County Supervisor. On the Board of Supervisors, she also championed investments in apprenticeship programs and led the effort to pass a countywide heat safety ordinance to protect workers from extreme heat.
