The letter also requests the Secretary to continue the Department of Education's oversight efforts to ensure NRCs are compliant with the statutory purposes and requirements of Title VI and for the Secretary to take proactive actions to ensure future NRC grantees make verifiable assurances that they will comply with the purposes of Title VI, including the enhancement of grant application requirements to include that applicants provide assurances that they will not implement an academic boycott of a country within their program or center's purview.
