In response to this Executive Order, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-04) released the following statement: Substantive grievances and questions regarding the quality of policing in communities across America have gone unanswered for far too long. President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing is a timely and welcomed move forward in addressing these concerns and repairing the fractured and untenable relationship between young, black men and local law enforcement in our country. Advancements in technology have created new opportunities for us to enhance accountability and transparency in modern day law enforcement. I look forward to learning how the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing can utilize such technology to promote community policing and foster confidence in local communities.
