The Continuing Appropriations Act (H.R. 5860) passed by a vote of 335-91, funding the government through November 17, 2023. The legislation provides $16 billion in supplemental funding for disaster relief, extends vital healthcare and welfare programs, and includes extensions for National Flood Insurance Protection and the Federal Aviation Administration. "This short-term extension is necessary to keep vital government programs in operation, ensuring the American people are not lacking healthcare or the assistance they need, as a result of disagreements on Capitol Hill," said Congressman Rogers, Dean of the House. "I applaud Speaker McCarthy for bringing this clean bill to a vote, and renewing faith in House government. We have a lot to accomplish in the next 45 days, and this bill is a step in the right direction." The Continuing Appropriations Act does not include any additional funding for Ukraine, a primary concern during negotiations.
