News of the investigations comes as Georgia's Democratic congressmen, led by Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04), sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Nov. 1 requesting that Justice Department officials consider sending poll monitors “or any other election monitoring resource” to Georgia on Election Day, Nov. 8. Reps. John Lewis (GA-05), David Scott (GA-13) and Sanford Bishop (GA-02) also signed the letter.  "Due to our concern regarding reports of inaccurate voting machines, we request the Department provide any resources or assistance to ensure voters at Georgia polls can exercise their fundamental right to vote and cast their vote with accuracy and confidence," the letter states.  To read the letter, click HERE.  ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
