This is exactly the kind of work I came to Congress to do, taking the needs I hear about at home and turning them into results in Washington.” Beyond Mooresville, the Water Resources Development Act authorizes and improves U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects and programs across the country, covering water and wastewater infrastructure, flood risk management, ports and harbors, inland waterways, dam safety, and other critical water resources needs. The legislation also includes reforms aimed at speeding project delivery, improving contracting and permitting processes, and making it easier for local communities to navigate and access Army Corps programs.
