This Rural Development investment will be used for the establishment of the Eastern Shore Delmarva Farm to Freezer project. The communities served by this project will include: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester. Congressman Harris issued the following statement: “As Chairman of the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Subcommittee on Appropriations, I am pleased to see the USDA awarded this grant to assist with increasing food distribution across the Eastern Shore.
