The Upward Bound program provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.Chesapeake College has been awarded a grand total of $287,537.00 through this program. Congressman Harris issued the following the statement: “I am very pleased to hear that the Department of Education has awarded Chesapeake College with grant money through their Upward Bound program. As a two-year regional institution, Chesapeake College serves many Eastern Shore students in Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot counties.
