Funds originated from the Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training Grant Program, and specifically, these grants dollars will be used to recruit and enroll veterans and/or their family members in the college's Commercial Driver License program. Rep. Harris made the following statement: "As a veteran, I applaud the award of these funds to Wor-Wic Community College. Grant programs like this allow our local higher education institutions to offer certification for an in demand field to veterans and their families.
