This grant money will specifically be used to encourage and assist 27 small businesses in the region through local investment. Statement from Congressman Harris: “With over 1,400 in Queen Anne’s County, small businesses are a central component to economic development, and I am pleased to see that the USDA is funding a local program that supports them. It is projected that the full implementation of this program will create 150 jobs in the region which is especially helpful at a time when inflation and supply chain issues challenge the growth of local businesses.
