The funds will be allocated to Worcester County Public Schools' twelve libraries. According to IMLS, "Year one of the project will focus on working with stakeholders to develop the strategic plan. The second year of the project will focus on implementing recommendations, developing the curriculum for the school libraries, and providing professional development to the school librarians. At the end of the project, the school system will have a clearly defined vision of a 21st century school library, and school librarians will have the training and resources to meet the needs of the students." Rep. Harris made the following statement on the education award: "School libraries are an important part of our educational system in the First District.
