The stories and photos will run through the month of November. “Through my efforts to bring the Veterans History Project here to Southwest Washington, I’ve been humbled to hear the first-hand accounts of military combat from the men and women who served in World War II, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, and on the front lines around the globe. I’m extremely pleased to share a few of the highlights of those stories that are being archived in the Library of Congress to commemorate those individuals for Veterans Day – and beyond,” said Jaime. “As this region’s federal representative in Congress, I seek to honor our nation’s heroes by helping veterans get the services they earned through legislation and individual assistance. I think it’s equally important that the rest of us understand the threats they faced, sacrifices they made and challenges they endured to protect our nation – and this presentation offers a glimpse of those experiences.” Residents can view the special Veterans’ Day tribute on Jaime’s website at jhb.house.gov throughout the month of November. The veterans featured in this slideshow all participated in the Veterans History Project events Jaime held last month in Clark and Lewis counties.
