The Clean Air Act requires EPA to finalize regulations to grant the Governors' request within 90 days. As of today, December 9th, the EPA is 500 days late on their statutory deadline. Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) released the below statement on the EPA's delay. “The EPA is marking a sorry milestone today -- it is 500 days past the deadline to grant the request led by Governor Reynolds for the sale of year-round E15. If only Biden's EPA was as focused on actual solutions to strengthen America's energy independence, like expanding biofuels, as they are on mandating electric vehicles. The EPA shouldn't delay the Governor's request any longer, it is time to sell E15 year-round and provide Iowa biofuels producers and fuel retailers with the certainty they deserve." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson Hinson has been a leading advocate for year-round access to E15 in the U.S. House of Representatives. Earlier this year, Hinson co-led a letter with Senator Joni Ernst urging the EPA to quickly act on Governor Reynolds’ request for year-round E15 in Iowa.
