Alarmingly, its routers, cameras, and other smart devices are sold through the Army, Air Force, and Navy Exchanges, placing these devices in close proximity to U.S. military installations and providing a vehicle for Beijing to spy on America. This would be the largest removal of Chinese telecommunications equipment from the U.S. since Huawei Technologies. “For years, the PRC and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have pursued a deliberate, two-pronged strategy to undermine U.S. cybersecurity. First, the CCP exerts direct and indirect control over Chinese technology firms, providing them with state-backed subsidies to undercut American competitors. Through this influence, CCP-affiliated companies gain access to vast amounts of data collected from U.S. consumers.
