The bill will ensure that tribally-run hospitals and Urban Indian Clinics receive the funding they need to keep their doors open during the government shutdown. Congresswoman Horn made the following statement in support of the legislation: I'm proud to work with my Oklahoma colleagues to ensure the IHS is provided a stable source of funding through fiscal year 2019. During this government shutdown, more than half of IHS's budget is not being distributed to tribes. This is causing severe repercussions for Native Americans.
