Horn Urges Democratic Process for Next Stimulus Bill 2020-04-13 2020 2020-04 Democrat House OK Kendra Horn H001083 horn.house.gov     legacy Rep. Horn Urges Democratic Process for Next Stimulus Bill Congresswoman Horn leads letter pushing congressional leadership to incorporate Member input, provide bill text during stimulus consideration Washington, April 13, 2020 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK On Monday, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) led a letter urging congressional leadership to rely on a democratic process for passage of the next stimulus package. The letter urges transparent consideration of the next stimulus, the incorporation of Member input, and time to review legislative text before a vote. The letter, co-signed by five Members in the House of Representatives, is available here. As we put together the next stimulus package, we need a bill that is timely, transparent, and targeted. I call it the three t's of good government, said Congresswoman Kendra Horn. Today's letter calls for a process that gives Members of Congress time to review the next stimulus bill and provide input to make sure the bill focuses on the most critical needs during this crisis. Our communities deserve a process that is transparent to the public and prioritizes the efficient and effective use of taxpayer dollars to save lives and livelihoods. It's time to put backroom politics aside and pursue bipartisan solutions that deliver help to the American people now. To date, no bill text has been released for a Phase Four stimulus package, nor has bill text been released for interim coronavirus emergency relief proposed by leadership in the House of Representatives. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
