Many eligible Oklahomans have beendenied benefitsandcannot get assistancefrom state agencies. The CARES Act provided Oklahoma an additional$10,963,616to administerexpanded unemployment assistance during the pandemic. Seven weeks after the CARES Act was signed into law, Oklahomans still aren't getting the unemployment assistance I fought for, said Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5).Our statehasdropped the ballon implementingthis program, andpeople need help now. Wehaveget to the bottom ofthis and fix it.To help our leaders better understand the challenges that Oklahomans face using the unemployment system,I'm asking people to tell me their stories and share their experiences. OnApril 20, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) sent a letter to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt to address mounting concerns regarding the issuance of unemployment benefits in Oklahoma, offering assistance with any federal support needed to implement the program.
