This week, Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5) joined a coalition of lawmakers calling on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) todisclose roadblocks they are facing delivering economic impact payments.Three months after passage of the CARES Act, an estimated35 million Americansare still waiting ontheirstimulus checks. The IRSeconomic impact paymentshotline is frequently jammed and constituents report difficulty receiving assistance.Congresswoman Horn's letter to the IRS isavailablehere. Oklahomanswho arestruggling to makeends meetduringthe pandemicneed help now, said Congresswoman Kendra Horn. Three months ago we passedeconomic impact payments,historic unemployment assistance,andsmall business aid in the CARES Act. I've heardfromhundreds ofOklahomans whoare still waiting ontheir stimulus checks.Our work is not over until every Oklahoman has received the assistance they need. During the pandemic,Congresswoman Hornhas helpedmore than800 constituents receive pandemic relief, including277 peoplewithstimuluschecksand IRS issues.
