Representatives from each service academy (West Point, Air Force Academy, Naval Academy and the Merchant Marines Academy) gave presentations about their military branch, academy requirements and life at their service academy. Interested students and guardians can watch the webinar here. It is my honor and privilege to nominate students from Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District to our nation's prestigious military service academies, said Congresswoman Kendra Horn. Last year, I nominated 15 incredible students with acceptances to West Point, the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy. Service Academy graduates go on to be leaders in the military, and in civilian life as CEOs, doctors, judges, astronauts and more. The first step in the military service academy nomination process is applying online (available here.) The deadline is November 1. The next step is an interview with Congresswoman Horn's Military Service Academy Advisory Board, made up of local veterans, current service members, and academy graduates in December. In exchange for a world-class education, service academy graduates commit to five years of service to our nation in the United States military.
