As a member of the bipartisan conference committee, Horn will lead efforts to find a bipartisan compromise, paving the way for final passage of the NDAA. This is the second year Congresswoman Horn has been appointed as an NDAA conferee. I am proud to be a strong voice for Oklahoma and our nation's Armed Forces, said Congresswoman Horn. Our national defense is an area where we can work together in a bipartisan way and find common ground. In last year's groundbreaking NDAA, we worked across the aisle to create a comprehensive bill that strengthened our national security and included a historic raise for our service members. This year, I look forward to working with my fellow conferees to pass another bipartisan bill that ensures our military continues to be the strongest in the world, creates more accountability, and supports our troops. I will also continue to fight for the Military HOMES Act, which we successfully included in this year's House NDAA. Congresswoman Horn led efforts during House NDAA deliberations to adopt the Military HOMES Act as an amendment to the NDAA. This legislation provides stronger protections for military families renting on-base housing from private contractors, building on the progress made under the Tenants Bill of Rights which passed last year. The NDAA which passed the House of Representatives this year also includes a three percent pay raise for uniformed personnel as well as targeted provisions to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
