These efforts have allowed more than $1.3 million dollars to be returned to Hoosiers in the Ninth District so far this year. Additionally, during a season of unprecedented passport requests, Congresswoman Houchin’s office was able to help over 100 Hoosiers receive a passport. In July, Congresswoman Houchin advocated for opening a passport agency in the region. Currently, the Chicago, Illinois passport agency is the closest option for in-person appointments for Indiana residents. “Families, workers, and veterans have enough on their plate with the rising cost of living and inflation under the Biden Administration.
