Following the Judiciary Democrats’ blocking both amendments, Congressman Issa said: “The American people are more than aware that President Biden is mandating vaccines for Americans while exempting those illegally flooding our borders and being released into our communities without notice. And they want the hypocrisy to end,” said Congressman Issa. The first amendment includes a non-citizen Covid vaccine mandate, which would ban the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from adjusting the status of non-citizens until the department can verify and report to Congress that all non-citizens admitted are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. The second amendment prohibits the funds collected from this bill from being used to transport aliens to a destination other than a detention center without the DHS providing 36-hour notice where aliens are being transported.
