America is in a period of growth and prosperity, with the lowest unemployment numbers in nearly two decades, and the majority of Americans now believe the economy is in excellent condition. Here in Minnesota, 10,200 new jobs were added last month and dozens of companies are giving pay raises and bonuses to employees. I'm grateful for the opportunity to discuss the benefits our historic tax reform and other pro-growth policies are having in Minnesota and what more can be done to continue our nation's prosperity. Statements supporting the pro-growth agenda: With the historic record low unemployment both inMinnesota and across the country, there is increasing worker competition. This includes nearly every job across all sectors such as transportation, construction, general office, and tech. This competition is driving up wages for the middle class, which is the backbone of our Country. The recent tax policy allows companies to pay more wages in the competitive market, yet preserve corporate profitability. Paul Breckner, President of Data Sales The recent changes in tax policies have created jobs in transportation; from plants that build, to drivers who move, and technicians to support. These changes have created a positive movement in attitudes towards the American future. Greg Nuss, Owner of Nuss Truck and Equipment Background: Minnesota and the country as a whole have seen direct benefits from the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act and other pro-growth legislation, including: In May 2018 Minnesota's unemployment rate dropped to 3.1 percent. Over 600 companies have given pay raises, bonuses, 401(k) match increases, expanded operations, or reduced utility rates thanks to tax reform. o This includes companies in Minnesota: Priority Courier Experts, Circuit Interruption Technology Inc, Albert Lea Public Warehouse, Koch Companies Inc., U.S. Bancorp, Bio-Techne, Best Buy, TCF Financial Corporation, Data Sales Co., Inc., DTN, Ecolab Inc., and a number of national companies that have a presence in MN. o Data Sales in Burnsville gave $1,000 bonus to every employee (over 80) The average family of four in MN02 will see an over $3,000 decrease in their taxes. Decreased utility costs for households. 80 million customers in 39 states (including Minnesota) are seeing lowered utility bills. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
