Months ago, the House continued its work supporting our farmers and agricultural community by passing a Farm Bill. Our bill not only gave far more certainty to farmers, but included common sense reforms to the food stamp program. With the economy taking off, it's crucial we encourage ablebodied adults without dependents to get back into the job market through workforce training and modest work requirements.Unfortunately, some of my Democratic colleagues have focused on scoring political points instead of working towards a compromise. But while we continue our work getting the Farm bill across the finish line, I'm glad to say we're making significant progress toward improving trade relations. The newly announcedUSMCA agreement expandsmarket access for agricultural productsparticularly for dairy farmersand incentivizes domestic manufacturing, among other initiatives. Going forward, we must continue to expand on these successes by strengthening international trade relationships, especiallyprotections for America's intellectual property. The USMCA is a great start and puts American needs first by building on decades of trade relations between Canada, Mexico, and our great nation. f t # e 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
