The apron will be a critical component in facilitating safe and effective airport operations and will be used to maneuver and store airplanes while at the airfield. "This new airport apron will enhance the quality of services that the Gettysburg Regional Airport can provide to the Adams County community," said Dr. Joyce. "Enhancing our region's critical infrastructure is one of my top priorities in Congress and I look forward to Gettysburg Regional Airport receiving this critical funding." The Gettysburg Regional Airport and the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority are receiving this grant as part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant program.
