Pages are sponsored by individual members of Congress. During their service, they help with administrative duties related to House floor proceedings and act as messengers in the Capitol's complex of buildings. They are required to live at the Page Residence Hall under the close supervision of Program staff and proctors. Students selected for the Program will serve during the second summer 2010 session (July 11 – August 6). To apply, students must be at least 16 years of age at the time their service begins. They must also have a cumulative grade average of "B" (3.0) or better in five major subject areas (English, mathematics, science, social studies, and a foreign language). Summer program applicants may only serve as Pages in the summer prior to or immediately after their junior year in high school.
