William Kennedy, a student at Benjamin Logan High School, won the district-wide competition with his pencil drawing. This piece, entitled Autumn Pathway will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year. Jordan Kimes of Northmor High School, was named runner-up, while Betsy Schneider of Botkins High School took third place. An Honorable Mention was awarded to Oscar Gresh of West Liberty-Salem High School. County winners included: Allen County – Jesse Cave, Lima Christian Academy Marion County – Nicole Elswick, Elgin High School Richland County – Riley Kemerling, Mansfield Senior High School Wyandot County – Luis Alberto Marchant Franz, Upper Sandusky High School This year's contest was judged by Kent Weaver and Cindy VanderVlucht of Rieck's Gallery in Findlay. Congressman Jordan plans to meet with competition winner William Kennedy during the student's visit to Washington this summer.
