The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has unveiled its Fiscal Year 2023 plan detailing the allocation of federal resources from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for critical surface infrastructure projects. As part of DOT’s plan, Ohio will receive $1.96 billion in the upcoming year from the Federal Highway Administration for improvements to roads, bridges, tunnels, and other surface infrastructure. The State of Ohio will have flexibility in determining how the federal funding will be deployed. “Our Bipartisan Jobs and Infrastructure Bill is doing exactly as promised – investing in Ohio’s future,” said Rep. Kaptur. “These federal investments will create living wage construction jobs, increase safety, and better connect workers and communities to regional job hubs.
