For most people, the Medicare and Healthcare Marketplace Open Enrollment periods are the only opportunities each year to sign up for healthcare coverage, or make changes to existing plans. For healthcare coverage to be effective on January 1, 2022 – applications must be completed for Medicare by December 7, and for the Healthcare Marketplace by December 15.
