Now, he has vetoed the principal defense bill for U.S national security, which passed Congress with broad bipartisan support. What a damaging act during this time of presidential transition. In my entire career, I have never witnessed a president who fired so many of his own Secretaries of Defense, Chiefs of Staff, and Secretaries of Homeland Security. The Trump Administration often looks more like it is aiding and abetting our enemies than it is defending the U.S. rule of law and national security. Its contempt for the rule of law is almost as troubling as its chaotic internal operations. This President simply has no will or desire for organizational discipline in the departments and agencies he is sworn to operate to defend the American people.
