U.S. Rep. Fred Keller made the announcement of the bill's advancement in a statement on Thursday, Dec. 19. The bill was advanced out of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, said Keller. He noted that the bill, H.R. 4279, has received bipartisan support from PA's congressional delegation. Keller is spearheading the drive to rename the Laceyville Post Office in honor of Piccotti, who was an Air Force veteran and the founder of the Hunts for Healing organization. Hunts for Healing helps soldiers wounded in combat and other combat veterans transition back into civilian life by allowing them to experience the joys of hunting. Mindy's dedication to helping her fellow veterans return to civilian life is a lasting legacy that shows her selflessness and her sense of our society's continuing need to serve those who safeguard our freedom, said Keller. Naming the Laceyville Post Office in her honor is a fitting and appropriate display for the indelible mark she continues to leave on countless heroes.
