Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) on Wednesday announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency, through United States Department of Homeland Security, awarded a combined $2,431,964.21 in grant money to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to assist with Susquehanna County road and bridge repairs needed as a result of storm damage that occurred in August 2018. The FEMA disaster declaration related to the storm was made in November 2018. The grant breakdown is as follows: $1,277,946.65 in federal funding to Franklin Township for roadway repairs The award provides $1,154,017.56 in federal funding to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for bridge repairs in Susquehanna County The federal grant money makes up 75 percent of the total cost of the repair projects. These FEMA grants will help areas within Susquehanna County with needed road and bridge repairs as a result of devastating storms, Congressman Keller said.
