Kilmer Statement on USMCA Agreement I am pleased to see Speaker Pelosi and Ambassador Lighthizer announce an agreement on modifying the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA), setting the stage for congressional consideration. I have been supportive of the ongoing efforts by Congress to negotiate serious improvements with our partner nations on overall enforcement, labor and environmental standards, and prescription drug pricing. As a representative from one of the most trade-dependent states in the nation, I know how important updating this agreement is to help create jobs in our region and to continue to sell Washington-made products across the globe. I look forward to reviewing the merits of the final agreement as we move closer to modernizing our trade relationship with our North American partners.
