Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R) IL-16 believes someone needs to be held accountable. "This isn't just a matter of a simple website and not a big deal," he told Eyewitness News in an interview from Washington, DC. "This is a bascially a half-a-billion dollars spent developing this -- To find out it doesn't work --So we need to get to the bottom of that. It's the American people's money." Rep. Cheri Bustos (D) IL-17 urges patience. She noted in an interview with 'Eyewitness News' while in Rockford on Monday that the website has only been online for a few weeks, and assures Stateliners the problems will be fixed. She also reminds people that if they're having problems, they can call her office and her staff will help them any way they can. Kinzinger says his office will do the same even though he's opposed 'Obamacare from the start. He says this isn't about politics, but accountability. "They've had four years to get this ready. This was passed many years ago, and they knew October 1st was coming ... I think if this was any private company that would be rolling something out like this, there would probably be some shoes to drop in terms of personnel replacement or changes on how business is being done." He believes that if things aren't fixed soon, a delay in implementing the individual mandate should be considered. He doesn't believe Americans should face potential fines for not signing up if they're having such problems signing up in the first place. Sen. Joe Manchin (D) WV, agrees, and says he will draft legislation to do just that..
