This past Monday concluded the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. In conjunction with the bill's passage and the end of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Congressman Kinzinger released the following statement to congratulate all the athletes from this year's games: Congratulations to our 2016 Olympians and Paralympians across the country and here in Illinois who represented Team USA so proudly. The 2016 Summer Games were incredible to watch and as a nation, we couldn't be prouder of all our athletes. This week, the House voted to exempt medalists from the burdensome taxes on their winnings.
