After the overwhelming bipartisan support for the bill's passage, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) released the following statement: This is the People's House. We were sent here to fight for the priorities of our constituents and in the best interest of the country. Passing this bill not only keeps our government running, but it makes investments in our military, our veterans, and our communities. We were also able to include vital funding to begin implementation of the Comprehensive Addictions and Recovery Act, legislation I worked on to combat the opioid epidemic plaguing the nation. Also included in this bill are the resources necessary to implement the Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act,' which will have a direct impact on manufacturing in my district. The regulatory reforms that come about as a result of this will strengthen protections for American families and workers, and will ensure that the United States is leading the world in safety and manufacturing in this industry. I'm proud this legislative body came together to work with true bipartisanship, and a shared goal of serving our constituents, to get this bill passed for the good of the country. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
