The new segment will run along the west side of the Fox River between the river and Batavia’s wastewater treatment facility, replacing a section where trail users can be routed off the dedicated path and alongside the roadway. The project will add new safety and guidance features, improve connectivity along the regional trail, and provide better access to and views of the riverfront. The Fox River Trail stretches from Oswego to Algonquin and serves more than 100,000 Fox Valley residents. “More than 100,000 people across the Fox Valley use the Fox River Trail, and they deserve a safe, reliable route.
